Our Story

Villa Perdido began with three families from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, a shared love for the water, and five young kids who remind us every day how important it is to slow down and be together. What started as casual conversations—often about how quickly kids grow and how rare it is to get everyone in the same place—slowly turned into a bigger idea. We dreamed of creating a home where our families could gather, unplug, and make memories… and a place we could also share with other families looking for the same thing. Each family brought their own perspective to the process, but we were all aligned on one thing: this needed to feel like a real family home, not just a rental. We designed Villa Perdido with space for kids to play, adults to relax, and everyone to come together—whether that’s around the table, on the dock, or watching the sunset after a long day on the water. Our kids have already filled this house with laughter, sandy feet, early mornings, and tired smiles at the end of full days. Because of them, we paid extra attention to comfort, safety, and thoughtful details that make traveling with family a little easier—and a lot more enjoyable. Villa Perdido holds a lot of meaning for our families, but it was always meant to be shared. Our hope is that during your stay, this house feels like a place where you can reconnect, unwind, and create memories of your own—big or small.
